By replacing the restrictive paper JCW paper element,with a high performance washable cotton gauze cylindrical element , the system flows much better.
On top of that the GTT upgrade then uses a second circular gauze filter across the end , this allows filtered air to also enter through the end of the cylinder. The JCW element has a metal blanking plate here, preventing any air through at all ! Our intensive testing shows a noticable reduction in restriction & pressure drop with the GTT system. As an added bonus this mod is discrete as 'the magic' is all contained within the original JCW air box. Power increase ? circa 5bhp.

GTT Intercooler Snoot Boots
This all new GTT product which replaces the stock black rubber bellows that join each end of the MCS intercooler to the 'snoots'. They are unique in that they are moulded as an ellipse (oval) rather than a circle which you stretch over . This is the only way to achieve a product that is easy to fit, applies even pressure and has no gaps.
Any tiny gap here and you lose power guaranteed! Other exclusive features are the use of 5 ply silicone (much stronger than 3 or 4 ply) plus a deliberate marginal increase in wall thickness over the stock bellows. This ensures even with 'well used clamps' they will pull up and clamp the 'snoot boots' evenly & firmly all the way around.

2) No Leakage. NB even new stock cars with standard bellows leak, as the clamps on the long snoot often do not pull down enough on the long edges.
3) No chance of splitting.
4) Better flow. The stock bellows have the airflow characteristics of an accordion !

We’ve put together (a fully assembled) top quality guage ,dash mounted pod and fitting kit for you. We have also included instructions, pipework , T piece etc to make fitting easy. The scale is marked in psi only, as that’s what most people understand, reading from a useful -15psi (vacuum) upto +30psi (boost).
The guage has silent operation and includes a back light you can wire in if you want to. The pipework is ultra thin making plumbing easy. A boost guage gives instant indication of slipping belt,r boost leak etc. ,making it essential for monitoring your R53 MCS performance. Can also be used on R56 turbo Mini, and even normally aspirated models (vacuum only). The pod fits to the top of the dash (no drilling), and can be angled for optimum visability. Pod Colours (front section).. aluminium, chrome, anodised blue, anodised red or carbon fibre. Guage Face Colours…black, white, red or yellow.
