GTT PEARLON THE PERFECT FINISH

The demands we put upon ourselves in deciding the best finish to use for our aluminium products were tough, but critical to their potential success. With around 20 or so aluminium products available for the interior alone, we knew that a distinct contrast to the Audi satin trim (Standard Pearlon) was important. However equaly important was to be able to offer a customer a finish that is very similar to the factory satin look for a more subtle approach (Satin Pearlon). Another high priority for the chosen finish would be its ability to harmonise with all that surrounds it; whatever the colour or whatever the material. Paint, lacquer and anodising were all ruled out simply because the results were not special enough. Likewise polished alloy was regarded unsuitable as its soft surface both corrodes and scratches easily.

GTT PEARLON combines four electroplating processes and two hand polishing processes to achieve its stunning and durable finish, costly to produce but if any car deserves it, it must be the TT.

CARVED FROM SOLID ALUMINIUM

GTT design/manufacture over 95% of the products we sell. With around 25 years experience in CNC machining of Aerospace, Formula One and Indy car components we can put ideas into production. Our passion for the Audi TT is immense, our desire to get it right practically obsessive - only GTT would design a solitary airvent seven times, and then improve it further during the first production batch! The materials we use are highest quality aluminium alloys, bronze, carbon fibre and marine grade (S316) stainless steel for its total refusal to tarnish.

PLEASING RESULTS AT CASTLE COMBE

Pleasing results at Castle Combe Last years performance product testing included visits to Castle Combe where we achieved consistant 1m 23sec laps with only the following modifications:-

• GTT ECU remap,
• GTT sportlite exhaust,
• GTT Bypass valve,
• GTT Aerobox chasis brace,
• GTT/Bilstein PSS9 suspension,
• GTT/Porsche 4 pot front brake converstion (racing brake pads).
• GTT boot spoiler Road legal tyres and '2 up' throughout.

THE NEW BRONZE AGE

In addition to our *Bronze Interlock exhaust system and gear stick gaiter surround, there are other products available with optional solid bronze components. These include the GTT seat height levers (The shaft), GTT Explorer arm rest (pivot caps) and GTT Boost gauge pod (dimpled bezel ring).

*Not to be confused with Brass which is more yellow in colour and corrodes more easily.

EXPLORER ARMREST

A conventional folding arm rest was not a revolutionary idea, GTT wanted more. We wanted a very special product of ultimate quality, unsurpased style and several unique features. The GTT Explorer Arm rest achieves this with sturdier construction, Pearlon finish, bronze pivot covers, removable leather cushion, 110º tilt (for better accessibility in the ‘up’ position) and Explorer accessory tray.

EXPLORERS ACCESSORY TRAY

By simply pushing down and forward simultaneously, the cushion assembly is released revealing mini mag light Retroslot designer lock knife and oil filled compass . The tray is milled from a single alloy billet to the precise contours of the above items - no plastic inserts, no pressed steel; truly engineering and art in unison.

To install on a windows PC:

• Download to C:\WINDOWS\system32 (or equivilent)
• When download completes browse to the GTT.scr file and right click
• Select 'install'
• Choose your settings
• Click 'ok'
• Your GTT screen saver should now be installed
